Dedham Vale Food Hub

The Dedham Vale Food Hub is a group of farmers and consumers who have developed a vision for a ground-breaking local, low carbon food hub. It is hoped that the Hub will open in the summer/autumn of 2012 to meet the changing needs of todays shoppers by offering local, seasonal, nutrititious and low carbon food all sourced in and around the Dedham Vale. Radiating from the Hub, distribution spokes will deliver or sell into ipswich, Sudbury, Manningtree and Clacton. With a focus on celebrating the passing of the seasons the Hub itself will aim to offer a fun, ethical and price sensitive shop and the opportunity to feed your families and friends in a cafe. The growers involved will also offer educational visits and opportunities on their farms so you can see the origins of the food in your shopping basket. Register your interest by joining our website and contributing to the discussions and development of this project.
